Frequently Asked Questions
Your estimated delivery date is a projection based on typical timelines, not a guaranteed delivery date. Actual timelines vary based on the product, finishes, and features you select, and our current order volume, and designer queue for proofs.
The stages:
Initial proof creation takes 3–6 business days after your order, depending on current volume. Once you approve the proof, your order moves into production Ground shipping typically adds 3–5 business days depending on your location.
Your approval sets the clock:
The estimated delivery date assumes you approve your proof son after its sent to you. Manufacturing does not begin until you approve the proof online using the link we send to you. If a proof sits unapproved, or you request revisions, your delivery date moves out by the same amount of time.
Other things that can shift the date:
Revision rounds beyond the first. Custom sizes, finishes, or mounting hardware. Artwork or logo files that need rework before they can be used. Material availability. Carrier delays, weather, and holidays.
If you have a hard deadline:
Please don't schedule a dedication, ceremony, unveiling, or installation around an estimated date. If your plaque is tied to a fixed event, contact us before ordering. We'll confirm whether the date is achievable, and if rush production is available (for a fee). We can also expedite shipping if needed.
Cast metal letters are formed in molds, which allows for sculpted depths, prismatic faces, and classic dimensional styles. Flat-cut letters are waterjet-cut from sheet metal, while cast letters offer a more traditional, architectural look.
Yes. Cast metal letters are produced in either bronze or aluminum. Bronze offers a timeless, prestigious look that ages with a natural patina, while aluminum provides a lighter, more cost-effective option with a silver-toned finish.
Standard finishes include brushed, polished, painted, anodized (for aluminum), and oxidized or patina (for bronze). These finishes enhance both durability and appearance, indoors or outdoors.
Most cast letters range from 2" up to 24" in height, with depths from 3/8" to 1". Larger letters are typically fabricated instead of cast to maintain structural integrity.
Cast letters are typically stud-mounted for a permanent installation. Spacers can create a floating effect, and in some cases, double-sided tape may be used for smaller letters or interior applications.
Cast metal letters are extremely durable for exterior use. Bronze naturally forms a protective patina, while aluminum can be anodized or painted with a clear coat to resist corrosion. Both materials are excellent for long-term exterior signage.
Yes. While cast letters are generally based on traditional letter styles, custom logos or emblematic shapes can be produced using custom molds. This is ideal for schools, government buildings, and corporate identities.
The typical lead time is 3–4 weeks, since each set requires custom molds and finishing. Rush production may be available depending on size and finish.
Cast letters are most often used for universities, government buildings, historic properties, and architectural signage where a classic, timeless look is important.
