Your estimated delivery date is a projection based on typical timelines, not a guaranteed delivery date. Actual timelines vary based on the product, finishes, and features you select, and our current order volume, and designer queue for proofs.
The stages:
Initial proof creation takes 3–6 business days after your order, depending on current volume. Once you approve the proof, your order moves into production Ground shipping typically adds 3–5 business days depending on your location.
Your approval sets the clock:
The estimated delivery date assumes you approve your proof son after its sent to you. Manufacturing does not begin until you approve the proof online using the link we send to you. If a proof sits unapproved, or you request revisions, your delivery date moves out by the same amount of time.
Other things that can shift the date:
Revision rounds beyond the first. Custom sizes, finishes, or mounting hardware. Artwork or logo files that need rework before they can be used. Material availability. Carrier delays, weather, and holidays.

Please don't schedule a dedication, ceremony, unveiling, or installation around an estimated date. If your plaque is tied to a fixed event, contact us before ordering. We'll confirm whether the date is achievable, and if rush production is available (for a fee). We can also expedite shipping if needed.
Etched stainless steel plaques are made by chemical etching recessed designs into a solid sheet of stainless steel. This process allows for fine detail, small text, and precision artwork that isn't possible with cast plaques. Stainless steel offers a sleek, modern appearance and exceptional corrosion resistance, making it ideal for both indoor and outdoor use.
We offer etched stainless steel plaques in a brushed finish (most common), or polished finish (#8 finish). Standard thicknesses are ⅛ and ¼” thick, depending on plaque size and mounting needs. Recessed areas can be paint-filled in black, white, or custom colors for contrast and branding alignment. UV printed full color images and logos are also available.
Etching allows for extremely fine resolution, with capital letters as small as ⅛" tall still remaining legible. This makes stainless steel plaques ideal for longer messages, quotes, multiple lines of text, and intricate logos or line art.
Yes. Stainless steel is naturally corrosion-resistant and well-suited for outdoor environments. Etched plaques are sealed with a clear protective coating to guard against UV exposure, moisture, and fading. Alloy 316 is recommended for coastal environments.
