During the patina development phase, COR-TEN steel may release rust runoff, which can stain nearby surfaces. We recommend careful placement and sealing light-colored or porous walls to minimize potential staining.
We typically ship COR-TEN letters as raw steel so they can weather naturally in place. If you prefer a pre-weathered look, you can accelerate the process by spraying the letters with water before installation. Sealing is not recommended, as it stops natural patina formation.
After receiving your deposit, we’ll send a detailed digital layout showing font, size, spacing, and mounting. You can request up to two revisions. Once approved, we begin production and ship your letters with all hardware and instructions.
